Five days and more than 100 operations are poured into each pair of Julia Bo shoes, lovingly crafted at our Eastern European workshops, organised as small shoe cooperatives of 20-30 predominantly female artisans. This socially-responsible business model allows us to develop a long-term relationship with our producers and their communities, whilst offering you custom-made shoes, handcrafted with high-quality materials, at a fair price.

Larisa

She sews the leather for our uppers with the utmost care and precision. With almost 12 years of experience, and having transitioned from a stressful career as an accountant, she stands as a testament to dedication and positivity. Now, with her two sons all grown up and independent, she has fully embraced this exciting journey. Armed with an eye for detail and a great sense of humor, she reminds us that it's never too late to follow your passion.

Nadia

She crafts the exquisite broguing and rosette decorations that define our shoes with her skilled hands. With an unmatched tenure of 20 years as a shoemaker, Nadiya epitomizes talent, passion, and dedication. Renowned for her punctuality and meticulous attention to detail, Nadiya is more than just a shoemaker to us—she is an unparalleled talented artist.

Nicholas

Although he works primarily in the soling department, his knowledge of
shoemaking goes far beyond that. Niko is a true cordwainer, who knows the craft of creating leather shoes from scratch, from drafting the pattern to cutting the leather to stitching the uppers and soles together. Colleagues often turn to him for guidance and advice, knowing that he always has the answer. Beyond his professional excellence, Mykolay finds solace and joy in his hobbies of fishing and gardening.

Super pleased.

My overall experience is above my expectations,I am in love with my Aldgate -Oxford Heels that I received and is waiting to received the Amy Cone- Mary Jane Heels, however the craftsmanship and quality is 10/10 with no complaints, the best thing with these shoes they are very lightweight and extremely comfortable,I half size up and that gives me room for thick tights in the cold month, i am so in love with my shoes that I am about to purchase another pair or two. Thank you to the entire team who took the time to created this masterpiece.. Best shoes ever. I recommend this company and stand by their products. Please give them some time to get your shoes to you because they are custom made, but delivery and wait time is worth the wait.

Kind, helpful and responsive staff!! Ordered two pair of custom shoes to replace two very loved but damaged shoes in a house flood. Searched for two years and found this site on line. They are comfy and look great. Will definitely watch their site for future styles!
